Yoga Therapy for Golfers is a culmination of two of my passions: golf and Yoga. Having been a Yoga practitioner for 17 years and a golfer for 15 years, I saw a pattern between the two in terms of my own athletic ability, mind-set and performance. After being sidelined with some injuries, I decided to take a closer look at how Yoga can help golfers heal from injuries to get back in the game sooner and/or achieve their personal goals. In my sessions, not only are the specific physical needs addressed but also the all important aspect of mental focus.
I work with golfers individually to improve their strength, flexibility, balance and mental focus using the tools and practices of Yoga. I customize a Yoga practice to help each golfer improve their specific health needs, performance and enjoyment of the game.

In golf, stabilty, flexibity, mobility, balance and proprioception (awareness/perception of the positioning and movement of the body) are the key physical elements of success. Yoga addresses each of these needs beautifully and is the basis of my work with each student. Yoga therapy takes the benefits of Yoga even further because it offers a customized practice to specifically address one's strengths and weaknesses.
Unlike group Yoga classes, Yoga therapy is conducted in a one-on-one session with a Certified Yoga Therapist, like myself, and the practice is customized for one's abilities, health needs, goals and takes into consideration any injuries or ailments specific to an individual. Yoga therapy is a holisitic practice so there is also a strong emphasis on the breath as well as mental focus, both of which are key in taking your game to the next level.
